Frequently Asked Questions

Like most modular clubs that setup layouts open to the public we get a lot of questions about the layout.  Here are a few of the most common.

• Q:  How long did it take to set up this layout ?
  
  A:  A lot depends on how large a layout is, how level is the floor, and close we can bring our vehicles to the layout site.  Typically it takes about 4 hours to setup and about 1-1/2 hours to take down.



• Q:   How often does the club meet and where ?
  
  A:  We do have not regularly scheduled meetings.  We meet at the show venues with our layouts about 4 times per year.



• Q:   Where does the layout go when it is not setup at shows ?
  
  A:  The modules that belong to the club are kept in an enclosed utility trailer which is stored between shows.  Most of the modules belong to individual members and they take those home with them.



• Q:   Do all of the model railroad locomotives actually pull the train ?
  
  A:  Yes they do.  Each locomotive has a small electric motor inside that drives all of the wheels on the locomotive.
