Our next layout will be: March 23 & 24, 2019 - Great Train Show - Alameda County Fairgrounds

Club Module Gallery

We have many modules in the club.   The module galleries are divided into club owned modules and member modules.  The owns 7 corner modules, 2 staging yards, an entry gate, and a few small filler modules.   Most of these are included on this page.

Wine Corner - This is one of six 3 ft corners we have.  This one is the light weight design with 2 inch tall rails, and a 1/4 inch deck.  This photo shows how we mount our 2 blocks worth of DC throttles to the layout.   Scenery on this module was done by Julia Jackson in 2015.
Fast Food Corner - Finished around the same time as the Wine Corner in 2015, this module features many of the businesses you might find at an exit from an Interstate Highway.   Julia Jackson also did the scenery design on this one.

Farm Corner - This module was one of our original 3 foot corners from the early 1990's.  The scenery was getting quite worn so Julia and Earl Jackson completely rebuilt the scenery into a much more interesting scene.  The outer track is the optional Ntrak orange line which we don't use.

Japanese Corner - This was another of our original 3 foot corners that got refurbished by Earl and Julia.  On this one they did a highly detailed scene of a Japanese town.

Village Corner - This is another one of our original heavy weight 3 foot corner modules that still has its original scenery of a small village.

Ncat Corner - The last one of our original 3 foot corners includes the optional NCat trolley line.  Everything was done on this module by Robin Gilstrom who has several other Ncat modules that can be connected to this corner with the scenery matching.

Inside / Outside Corner -This unique module pair can be configured to be a 7 ft inside or outside corner and also features alternate blue with transitions in both directions and in both configurations.   It is solid wood and heavy and was built by Alan Williams almost 30 years ago.  Scenery was done by Robin Glistrom.

4 foot module - This one started in the 1990's as a pair of individual 2 foot modules that would be supported by adjoining modules.  Original scenery was done by Robin Gilstrom.  In 2018 Roger Schnittgrund refreshed the scenery and built a set of legs so these modules now form a 4 foot module set.
1 foot Greyhound Station Module - For awhile we had a member that brought a 4 foot corner module to the club.  As all our corners were based on 3 foot size we made a pair of 1 foot extensions to 1 of our corners to match the size.  He no longer has the 4 foot module so our 1 footers have had the scenery changed and are used independently.  Julia Jackson created the current scenery.

1 foot Circus module - This is the other 1 foot module that used to be used as an extension for one of our corners.  Julia did this one as a Circus scene.

The 1 footers don't have legs and are supported by being clamped to the adjoining modules.
20 foot staging yard - This yard was built by Alan Williams in the late 1980's and has been used in many layouts including several large layouts with multiple clubs.  One thing that make this yard great is that routing and power between sidings is done with the press of a single button so things keep moving.

18 foot City Yard - This set of 6 module sections is a smaller yard that we use for smaller layouts when we want a second yard.  It is just a single passing siding from each line.  This yard has scenery along the back that was done as dioramas by many of the members and attached to the modules.
4 foot entry gate - The frame of our entry gate is made from welded steel tube.  There is an interlock switch which will shut off the track power on all tracks on the adjoining modules to prevent a train from going off when the gate is opened.
