Our next layout will be: March 23 & 24, 2019 - Great Train Show - Alameda County Fairgrounds

Member Module Gallery

We have many modules in the club.  The module galleries are divided into club owned modules and member modules.  This page includes the member owned modules.

Dan and Debbie Brown

4ft UFO module pair is actually a pair of 2 ft modules that rest on a common leg system.   This design makes it easy to transport in a small car and to store.  Scenery includes a UFO crash site and a military base.

This module set is made up of a pair of light weight 4 foot modules plus an optional pair 45 degree wedge modules that can make this into a 9 foot outside corner.   This set was originally built by Glen Karcher in the 1990's then sold to the Browns.  The scene is from the Altamonte pass in California and all of the wind turbines are animated.

This 3 foot module is half of a 6 foot set that are always used together.  The scenery on this side includes an animated Ferris wheel and a light house with a flashing light.  There is a button on the sky board that can sound a fog horn.

This is the other 3 foot module that makes up the 6 foot pair.  The scenery transitions from the beach scene on the other module into a hilly oil field scene.

This 4 footer is one of the Brown's original modules.  It has a mine and a lumber mill.

Yup, Dan and Debbie have a bunch of modules.

Don Carney

This 6 ft module set is made up of  a pair of 3 ft modules sitting on a standard leg system and follows a standard bench work design for many of our modules.  Scenery includes a farm field, farm house and an agricultural industry.
 Joe Giacomini

This 2 foot module is one of the crowd favorites.  It has no legs and is supported by clamping it to the adjoining modules.  The ice skaters on the pond actually move.
Joe started this 8 foot module pair back in the mid 1990's and has been adding little features to it ever since.  There are some many detailed little scenes that it never gets old.  It features the optional mountain division track and the blue line has a tunnel that we occasionally loose a train in.
Gary Gomez

This 4 foot module with a carnival theme was originally built by Dan Hobbs and later purchased by Gary.  All of the rides are animated.

This 8 foot module set was started by another member who left the area for a job and later the modules came back to Gary.  This set along with several others have the optional mountain division track but we don't actually use this right now.

 Nick Frischhertz

This 8 ft module with mountain division track is one of a collection of modules that Nick has.  This photo was taken at the N Scale Enthusiasts convention in Sacramento in June of 2015.
 Earl & Julia Jackson

This is a 6 foot module pair with the optional 6 added to the front for  a 30 inch depth.  The entire module set is covered by a town with the left side being as it was in the 1950's and the right side being a mirror image and set in the current era.
Mickie Merrill

This 6 foot module pair features a school, playing fields, and a park.  Wedge shaped extensions to this module set make it into a 9 foot inside corner and extend the scenery from the main modules.
Brad Myers

This is one of two older modules that was rebuilt in 2014 as a Japanese mountain resort area.  The optional mountain division line branches off and over the main lines and can connect with another layout called AsiaNrail.

The second old module was rebuilt in 2012 and also has the optional mountain division line.  This one features several animated features such as a rotating Texaco sign, a rotating concrete mixer, lighted building interiors and sign.

 Mike O'Connell

Mike built this set of 4 ft modules to create a 16 ft grain elevator and yard scene.
